This website is dedicated to the third
student competition to be sponsored by the British Cement Association
at the Royal College of Art in London. The competition was launched
in October 2003 and will run until May 2004. RCA students of all
disciplines are invited to participate in this exciting new award
programme.

Competition brief
Students were asked to explore and
re-invent concretes untapped creative and functional potential
using cement in surprisingly new ways. The sponsors are looking
for a breakdown of assumptions of concrete as a material
though innovative thinking and/or exploring issues of sustainability.
Successful entries will be highly thought provoking, demonstrating
real lateral thinking, versatility and innovation.
